America runs on two things, fear and desperation. The working class experiences this as a fear of not being able to feed themselves and the desperation to hold on to the almost nothing they possess. The top 1% experience this as a fear of homeless people, and the desperation to isolate themselves from those homeless people.

I am going to skip this 'one gen against the other' narrative. Most who WOULD have retired could not do so after covid. Ultimately as result those retiring and allowing in younger people... do you not see the disruption in terms of employment dynamics Simon? This is not something that can be fixed.

What is so wrong with prioritizing profit so long as one is straighforward about it? People will naturally gravitate towards those kinds of opportunities that provide them with the largest profits, whether that is financial profit or spiritual profit or environmental profit or whichever kind of profit they find worthy of pursuit.

Lean was first used in the book “The Machine That Changed The World”. I’ve been told that initially it was to be called “Fragile Manufacturing” but they decided it wasn’t a good idea. The message is right though. It was ruined. Largely by consultants in my opinion. If you see Lean as a people development system, it works much, much better.

I was not in the military, I was an officer in the civilian fire service. A leader’s job is to make sure your people are ready (trained, equipped, and physically, mentally, and emotionally fit for service), get them into “the job”, do everything you can to keep them safe while there, get them out and back when the mission is done, and get them ready (physically, mentally and emotionally fit for duty) for the next mission. YOUR needs as a leader are fulfilled AFTER those in your charge. If you don’t believe and enact that, you are a manager, or a boss, but not a LEADER.

Sounds as if it’s the old people’s fault that investments won’t be made for the young. Is it because of old people or where and how what we give to the gov is spent/wasted? A baggie of bushings for an airplane that you can find in many pieces of equipment cost tax payers $90,000, not to mention how much has been given to illegals? Come on! Old people my ass, They were the ones actually paying into a system their entire lives that has been pillaged by the bureaucrats.
